MISSION STATEMENT: The Committee shall assist and advise the GOCA Board of Directors (Board) in assuring that the golf course shall always be maintained in a manner:
The committee shall consist of no more than five (5) members appointed by the Board Members should be committed to serve a term of three years or as established and controlled by the Board. The Board may extend or shorten an individual term at its discretion. The Board, in its sole discretion, shall appoint new members to fill open and expired terms. There shall be a Chair, Vice-chair, and Secretary. The Chair shall preside over each meeting and maintain a professional relationship with the Golf Course Superintendent. The Vice-chair shall be the spokesperson if the Chair is unavailable. There must be a quorum of three for voting. Effective participation on a Green Committee requires a significant commitment of time and energy, and it is not a commitment to be taken lightly. No more than three (3) unexcused absences will be permitted by any committee member.
