Q. What options are available to play at the Greenbriar Oceanaire Golf Course?
A. Several opportunities for residents to play golf at the Greenbriar Oceanaire Golf Course are available. Applications for Full and Associate memberships are available on-line (see the 2015 Membership Tab) and in the Community Management office. A new option in 2015 is the ability to utilized your credit card (with a processing fee) to pay for your membership.
Non-member residents are also welcome to pay at the guest fee rate for daily Greens Fee and Cart fee rate and may play up to ten rounds annually. A round is any play of 9 or 18 holes. Residents are encouraged to join the Golf Club and additional membership information is available by stopping in the Golf Shop, the Community Manager's Office or contacting the Golf Advisory Committee.
Q. What golf services are available at Greenbriar Oceanaire Golf Course?
A. Our Director of Golf is a PGA Class A Professional as well as an excellent assistant pro both available for private lessons. We have a new driving range, chipping area, putting green as well as a well-stocked Pro Shop with the newest offerings in golf equipment and fashion. Both Full and Associate members may participate in a wide variety of golf league and tournament activities (Check the Golf tab for activities offered).
Q. May non-members of the Golf Club utilize the golf driving range?
A. Yes, the driving range is available for the use of non-member residents. Non-members are required to check in at the Pro Shop first and pay a $10 fee for use of the practice driving range.
Q. Can you use a driver on the Range? A. You can ONLY use a club that hits about 151 yards. That maybe a driver for some players or it maybe a 7 wood for some players or a 7 iron for a very good player.
Q. Does the Greenbriar Oceanaire Golf Course have a dress code policy?
A. Yes, a dress code policy is enforced for use of the golf course, practice range and practice putting green. Specific dress code requirements are outlined in the Golf Rules and Regulations which are available on-line, as well as in the Community Management office. The Oceanaire Golf Course is a spikeless or non-metal spike golf facility.
